Dionisios “Dio” Favatas leads digital marketing, data management and advertising and marketing technology initiatives for the award-winning truth® public health campaign. He is responsible for implementing and analyzing online, social and digital media activities and leveraging text messaging and email marketing across consumer mobilization efforts. His work has led to millions of youth and young adults to join a national movement against substance abuse and he oversees the campaign's data-driven marketing initiatives to optimize advertising and owned and operated marketing efforts.
Favatas brings a wealth of experience to the lifesaving work at Truth Initiative. He has served in leadership, marketing, advertising and technology and digital strategy roles in the media and advertising industries. Favatas has executed high-impact campaigns for leading companies including Google, T-Mobile USA, AOL, Oracle and Intuit, where his contributions resulted in numerous of honors, including the prestigious AdAwards, WebAwards and Excellence in Marketing Awards.
An industry-recognized leader and digital marketing innovator, Favatas received the American Marketing Association’s “4 under 40 Emerging Leaders Award” in 2017. In 2016, he earned a spot in the Direct Marketing News “40 under 40” list and has ranked in Onalytica's top 100 lists three times since 2016. He is also a two-time Shorty Award nominee, two-time OMMA nominee, Effie nominee and a two-time Digiday award winner, with countless other recognitions.
Favatas received the 2008 Market Research Society’s Best Master Dissertation as he earned a master of science degree in strategic marketing from Cranfield University, Cranfield School of Management. He holds a bachelor of science degree in international business and finance from Rochester Institute of Technology, Saunder College of Business. Favatas also earned a Certificate in Artificial Intelligence Management from Georgetown University in 2018.
